Radio Jungle by The Pop Ups
Have you heard of The Pop Ups?? I hadn’t either, but these two Brooklyn guys are a comedic pair and a half! Radio Jungle is their second CD following Outside Voices, which was released in 2010. After which, they went on tour with their stage show PASTA! before releasing their newest CD Radio Jungle. The official release date is April 3, 2012.
Radio Jungle is a collection of songs that bring any grown up back to the whimsical world of childhood. From the imagination of “Connect the Stars” to learning where bananas come from, the duo bring learning to every child. The beats are so catchy and I am consistently finding myself bobbing my head along with each song. Don’t believe me? Click this link to hop over to The Pop Ups website where you can listen to the track “Connect the Stars” and download it via iTunes.
Radio Jungle has 11 tracks;
- intro
- connect the stars
- the bat
- box of crayons
- pop up city
- math rock
- best fruit
- banana
- feelings change
- elephant
-
color wheel
Each track is has an uplifting, quirky and highly entertaining beat that I am confident children everywhere will enjoy. I can just picture them dancing along to each song. The Pop Ups (made up of Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein) have definitely not forgotten what it is like to be a child and are fantastic at creating music that will entertain them for hours!!!
