We just bought one. It will be the big surprise for the kids this Christmas. The kids have been asking for a Wii, and we almost got one, but the Kinect won out both for the better virtual reality and for the fewer peripherals to a) pay more for, b) clutter up the already overcrowded house, c) lose, and d) break.

I would like to win because I am a single Grandmother raising 3 of me Grandkids, one of which is disabled and I would love to see some smiles on their faces for Christmas because I can’t afford to get them anything like this for Christmas. We’re having a rough time and it would make me very happy to win this for the kids.

We have heard from a few other parents that this worked wonderfully to help engage their child with special needs – and I would love it for my three guys with various diagnoses, but especially my youngest, who is very active, nonverbal, and has mild CP – I think this could really help him!
