Thanksgiving………..with a twist!!

I wanted to post a Thanksgiving entry, however, I think that I have been very open and upfront about all that I am Thankful for in my life, I pretty much wear my heart of my sleeve, so to speak!!
Therefore, I am going to use this blog post to list the random things I am thankful for that don’t get enough ‘air time’, but I am nonetheless very thankful for :)!!!

Here goes:

  1. I am THANKFUL that my skates don’t give me ‘lace bite’ anymore!
  2. I am THANKFUL that Thanksgiving means 4 days with NO dumb auditor questions.
  3. I am THANKFUL that none of my Thanksgiving tournament games start before 11am this weekend.
  4. I am THANKFUL that black Friday starts at midnight, so when we drive home and go past the stores, to look at all the crazies camping outside, there will definitely be lots of people to see!!
  5. I am THANKFUL that I am constantly busy, I try to keep complaining about it to a minimum, as being busy implies I am healthy and able to do all that I commit myself to do.
  6. I am THANKFUL that Jeanna tolerates my ability to leave my socks laying all over the house!!! (And YES Jeanna I am holding to the fact that I only leave socks lying around, haha!)
  7. I am THANKFUL for social media and how it has allowed me to be in almost constant contact with my family and friends no matter where they might be across the world.
  8. I am THANKFUL that I have job I can truly say I LOVE, sure I get crabby at times, and the demands are high from time to time, but the pros far outweigh the cons and I cannot and will not complain about it (except for the auditors).
  9. I am THANKFUL that I have been welcomed into my partners family and that I have family to spend the holidays with, I love them all!!
  10. I am THANKFUL that my puppies bark, even if it drives me crazy,  because that means they’re healthy and trying to do what comes naturally to them, protect us, even if they’re only 9 pounds a piece!! 
  11. I am THANKFUL that McDonald’s have a delicious smoothie, and that I have a couple spare bucks to buy one from time to time.
  12. I am THANKFUL for blogging, in case you haven’t caught on yet, I really, really love blogging and all the ‘friends’ I’ve made by doing it. 
  13. I am THANKFUL that I am able to earn extra ‘pocket money’ by doing one of the things that makes me truly happy (reffing – if you were wondering).

      Thanks!! 🙂 Lace bite is when my skates cause me a LOT of pain in the front of my leg/ankle……..very unpleasant!! It was very bad over the summer!!

    Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it encourages that attitude of gratitude that you have been blessed with. I hate that the gimme-gimme Christmas merchandising and advertising is encroaching more and more on Thanksgiving! But I am thankful for your list. And your friendship which has been renewed thanks to social media! 😉
