An interview with Kelly-Marie

This is my first blog post in which I interview someone else.  This interview is of Kelly-Marie, the author of the blog Our Footprints On The World.  I ‘met’ up with Kelly through Mom Blog Society and I ventured to try an interview.  Kelly and her husband Matt are the proud parents of Joshua. This happy family live in Plymouth in the UK which added a different perspective to both interviewing and getting to know them.  It is always fun and exciting to meet people from around the world.

Welcome Kelly! I love your blog! Can you tell me a little more about it? 

How long have you been blogging?

Well I started blogging in June of this year, I wish I found out about the blogging world a little earlier as it would have been nice to talk about my pregnancy.

How often do you post?  Do you post on a certain schedule?

I post nearly everyday, although now that I’m back at work it will probably slow down a bit now. I always do a wordless wenesday, thankful thursdsay and a friday foto contest.

Do you work outside the home?

Yes I went back to work just last week, I only work across the road in the small village post office and I am doing less hours now. It’s just nice to get out for a bit and talk to other people in the village as apposed to baby talk 🙂

How many children do you have? Do they inspire you to write your blog or create your button creations? 

My absolute inspiration is my 6 month old son Joshua AKA Joshy. I would say 95% of the photo’s I take are of him and I love to write about what new things he’s doing.

What is the biggest mistake you have made in blogging?

It’s all about trial and error, as I’m still new to blogging there are a few things I’ve tried and decided not to do again.

What advice would you give to new bloggers? 

Write for yourself, I don’t really concentrate on how many followers I have although it is VERY nice to have them ! 😀

I have to be happy with what I write otherwise why would anyone else be ?

What are your 2 favorite blogs and why?

I love reading about Jess and family over at Here Comes The Sun and Jordan with little Letti at Holding On To The Little Things.

Do you belong to any blogging communities? 

Yes I do actually, I like Mom Blog Society, Bloggy Mums.

Where do you see yourself blogging wise in the next 6 months? 

Well I will still be here writing about family life . . I would like to have a few more readers, and I am having my first giveaway this weekend which should be fun and bring in new people.

What is the ultimate Goal for a blogger in your opinion? 

To be happy with my posts, and be able to share this with others in the blogging world.

Ever been to another country or state that you liked better then where you currently live? 

Well I live in England which I don’t think I’ll ever leave but if I could I would move to Florida, I love it there !!

When you write for your blog do you stock pile posts, why or why not?

Deffo, I already have some guest posts scheduled for December. Life is so busy with Joshy and work that I sit down in the evening to write posts but I like to plan just in case I can’t get time to do so. I’m usually about a week ahead of myself 😉
