It’s Friday again and that means:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. Most importantly: leave a comment for the person who linked up before you – encouraging them in their writing!
OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes on:
Catch…
I only have 5 minutes in which to do this and I won’t lie I spent some time thinking of what I can write about for 5 minutes when it comes to CATCH……..catch me, don’t catch me, catch up, catch a break, what’s the catch?
Well my 5 minutes is going to be about catching up!! I am constantly on the go, I’ve said this numerous times. Just go, go, go. But every now and again I have to have a day or two of catch up, whether it be a ‘mental health day’ during the week or, like I plan on having tomorrow, a day to just stay home and catch up. Catch up with some homework, or work towards remaining one step ahead of the game, perhaps a 20 minute power nap at 3pm for no other reason then I CAN!!!!!!
Really this weekend is kind of a catch up weekend, Elliot has her baptism Sunday morning so I blocked the day off of reffing, and decided to block off Saturday so I make sure I’m in a good place when it comes to homework, papers, etc. to be able to fully enjoy the day with family on Sunday and not have the constant, back of my mind freaking out that I am going to fall behind……..
So that’s what I’ll do this weekend………I’ll catch up – avoid feeling like this:

Oh, I so understand! I think I have had a year of “catching up” mentally. I just found your blog through Five Minute Friday, and I am looking forward to browsing around a bit. I lived in Jo-burg for 3 years as my husband is from SA. We moved back a year ago to the East Coast of US. Thinking of you tonight as I know how the ex-pat adjustments can be.

We worked in Alberton. Lived in Meyersdal. We worked at a church whose main branch was in Pretoria so we traveled there a lot too. And of course, we visited people at the church all over Joburg so go pretty familiar. Where did you live?
