Well yesterday had a nice new experience for me, one I hardly expected. Jeanna had done some tie-dye shirts at work for the Cashier Olympics on Sunday night and she had to make some extras for those who weren’t able to make it on Sunday night.
This is how my new experience came about………I’ve never made a tie-dye shirt, or tie -dye anything for that matter, so I got to make not just one but two shirts!!!!!!!
While this might seem silly for most people it is exciting to have new experiences in life……however small they may be. Jeanna and I have had numerous experiences together, many of which were first time things for me, like tie-dying shirts and going apple picking for example.
It was almost comical because I do suffer from “bright shiny object” syndrome and I am pretty sure Jeanna thinks, at times, that I am incapable of sitting still for longer than 2 minutes. So when I asked if I had enough die on my shirt, she looked at me and jokingly said, “You’ve had enough already haven’t you?” My reply to her was, “NO, I’m having fun I just honestly asked if I needed to use more ink?” LOL!!! To Jeanna’s shock I actually sat still long enough to make two shirts and would have made more if I could have (of course this could be attributed to the fact that I had homework waiting, LOL!)
Pictures below show me hard at work (yes I do still have my black work socks on):
And the finished product:
Because it’s Tuesday once again I am linking up with The Extraordinary-Ordinary’s Just Write – Part Five
