On ordinary…
It’s the ordinary that is so easy to take for granted. I hope to never take anyone or anything in my life for granted, but I also know that’s easier said than done! I know from time to time I can be caught in the rut of ‘expecting’ certain things. Things that almost begin to become ‘ordinary’!
I need someone, that is so far from ‘ordinary’ she tops the scale of extraordinary, to know that she is just that and so much more for me. While I unfortunately have the ability to start to take the ordinary for granted, I need her to know that I appreciate every single thing she does for me. From the dishes, to the laundry, and having dinner ready when I get home after a long day at work and reffing, or a nice snack ready after I get home late at night from class.
Especially I need her to know how much I appreciate her simply been there for me when I get home at 10pm at night with a tummy ache from hell and all in all just feeling ‘poopy’ (this is a real word in my vocabulary). How much I appreciate her ordinary touch as she holds me so I can fall asleep. And how much I need her to know that there truly is NOTHING ordinary about her, in my eyes she is extraordinarily special in every way!!!
I love you Jeanna!!!

Have you heard of The Girl Effect? It’s a movement to end poverty by supporting girls in third world countries, helping them get an education and stop the cycle of teenage marriage and poverty. Oct. 4-11th is a blogging campaign week to write about being a girl and the unique attributes that make girls capable of changing the world. For more information, see this post on our blog: http://ermiliablog.wordpress.com/2011/10/05/the-girl-effect-blogging-event/
