Day 08 – Short term goals for this month and why

Well good timing on this post seems as it’s October 3rd that corresponds with this Day 8 post!  Lets see short-term goals for this month……..and why??

On 10/6 I start a new class ~ Quantitative Reasoning for Business. I’m sure I’ll likely bitch about it…..but at least we are going back to numbers, math, etc!! I can always swing a good way to make that enjoyable for myself (HOPING I don’t prove myself wrong!) So back to that short-term goal, class runs 6 weeks, so a little more than the month but alas, my goal is to get my 5th A in my 5th class in this MBA program. Just a little over a third of the way done with this degree.

Another goal is to (I cannot have just one thing to focus on at a time……….those close to me know this about me) complete this 30 day blog challenge. A few harder and more thought-provoking days are coming up and I want to make sure I do a good job on them.

The third goal I am going to write about is related to reffing. This month (same as October 2010) is the month that the midwest elite girls high school league is run. I am blessed in that I have been assigned games to officiate again this year. I did three games this weekend, I was linesman in two and head referee in a game. I worked hard and I think I did ok, I got some great praise from one of the coaches, who identified me as the girl with the accent LOL, and that really helped boost my confidence! The praise was related to the game I was the head referee in !!
Well I have 5 more games assigned to me next weekend, a mixture of being ref and linesman and I cannot wait to do them. My goal is: to do a good job in these games, work extremely hard and hopefully learn more from the highly qualified officials I am lucky enough to work with in this officiating program.

There I guess that’s about all I have for this entry. My goals sure aren’t super exciting or outrageous, I don’t think? I wish I could say that they were something like…………to take over the world, but Pinky and the Brain already have that one!!
