Seems as I ranted so passionately ranting about the hit and run accident that claimed a mans life and Joe Senser’s family taking their time to say it was their vehicle involved and their refusal to admit who was driving the car etc. I thought it only right I update my blog with what the current status is, that we are aware of.

Attorney: Wife of Joe Senser was driver in fatal hit & run

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The wife of former Vikings tight end Joe Senser was driving the SUV involved in a fatal hit and run in Minneapolis, the family’s lawyer says.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, Eric J. Nelson said “Now that various legal matters have been clarified regarding a potential criminal case and civil lawsuit, it is now appropriate to disclose that the driver in this incident was Ms. Amy Senser.”

Sensers sued for wrongful death in fatal hit and run
MINNEAPOLIS — A wrongful death lawsuit was filed Tuesday against former Viking Joe Senser and his wife Amy by the family of a man who died in a fatal hit and run.
Attorney Jim Schwebel filed the suit in Hennepin County District Court Tuesday morning. Besides seeking monetary damages, the lawsuit seeks details of the crash that claimed the life of 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong.

“It is disturbing that the Senser family continues to frustrate the Minnesota Highway Patrol’s investigation of this tragedy,” Schwebel continued. “This lawsuit will reveal the true faces, even without the cooperation of the Sensers.”
The lawsuit accuses Amy Senser of negligence in her operation of the vehicle and maintains that Joe Senser is liable for his wife’s conduct as owner of the vehicle. Phanthavong’s family is seeking in excess of $50,000 for his death and their subsequent loss of income.

This lawsuit was kind of expected last week already, just that it has officially being filed today. That I guess is the update, they finally admitted who was driving the SUV, now hopefully they’ll get to the bottom of this and justice will be served!!!
