on my usual catch up with the news headlines today I found the following headlines that leave me asking WTF IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD???

Minn. dad who abandoned son arrested in California

LAKEVILLE, Minn. — A father accused of abandoning his 11-year-old son in Minnesota has been arrested in California.

The boy awoke at their Lakeville home July 18 to discover Cross had gone, leaving two letters. One said their home, some 25 miles south of Minneapolis, was going to be sold at a sheriff’s sale and instructed the boy to take his PlayStation and go to a neighbor’s house. The other asked those neighbors to take care of his son.

The child is now living with an aunt.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that desperate times call for desperate measures, but be a man and stand up to your responsibilities for heavens sake!!!!  I hope he never gets custody of his son back, he doesn’t deserve it.  

Eagan man charged with abusing 11-week-old daughter

HASTINGS, Minn. — An Eagan man is charged with inflicting a laundry list of broken bones and other assorted injuries on his 11-week-old daughter.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Derek Schindler was the primary caregiver for his daughter when the infant suffered a broken leg, nine broken ribs, and brain injuries including blood on the brain.

Doctors told investigators the injuries were consistent with grabbing, twisting or jerking of the legs, and violent squeezing or shaking.

There are no words I could use to describe what it is that should be done to this man.  I personally hope that he gets sentenced to the maximum (which isn’t nearly long enough) and gets severely raped on a daily basis in jail!!!  Yes I do believe in eye for an eye, and this man is no normal human being……..he is a disgrace to the human race!!!

And then…of course………we have good old Michelle Bachmann (another disgrace to the State of MN and all of mankind), and her extremely demented comments that she just can’t seem to stop herself from spewing……apparently now she’s looking for a career in comedy???

Michele Bachmann’s hurricane comments were only a joke, she says

The Republican presidential hopeful raised eyebrows with her comments that the weather was God’s way of warning politicians.

The Republican White House hopeful Michele Bachmann has insisted she was joking when she said a hurricane and quake were God’s warning to Washington, in an effort to control the damage from her latest controversial comments.

“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ ” Bachmann said at a campaign event in Sarasota on Sunday.

When the remarks began drawing attention, she went into damage control. “Of course I was being humorous when I said that. It would be absurd to think it was anything else,” Bachmann said on Monday on a campaign stop in Miami. “I am a person who loves humour, I have a great sense of humour.”

Check out the article to read up more on her dumb ass comments she’s made during her campaign.  One thing my mom taught me as a kid, and I’ve always tried to follow (sure I fail, horribly, at times) was to:  ENSURE YOUR BRAIN IS FULLY ENGAGED BEFORE OPENING YOUR MOUTH!!!  Clearly this is something that this wanna be next President of the USA was NOT taught!!!   Of course this article is not so much of what is wrong with the world as much as what is just plain and simply WRONG with her??????
