update….add witty sarcasm "here"

As I know all my (2) readers are sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for my next blog to upload, I thought I’d send out an update of what’s up in the world of Debbie (and Jeanna, and Tanner, and Logan!)

Ok, lets face it…..nothing is going on in the lives of Tanner and Logan.  They wake up in the morning, they eat, they go outside, do their business, come inside, beg for a treat, drink the left over milk from my cereal, sleep, go outside, sleep, eat dinner, beg for my dinner, sleep……..it’s a pretty consistent routine!!!

As for Debbie and Jeanna…….well that’s different!!
I don’t know how to be ‘still’……one day I plan on mastering the art of doing NOTHING!!! But until that time arrives my life goes like this……I don’t sleep nearly enough, I stress out about class probably way too much, I work my regular day job, which I still find really fun and (despite the amount of times I snooze my alarm) I enjoy coming to everyday, then I ref, I also think I do this way too much, but alas the month is almost over and September will likely be slower!
Besides for work and reffing, as I mentioned, I have class.  I just, on 8/18/11 finished class #3 of this MBA program.  It was business law and I can say with certainty that it sucked, a little less than enjoyable, the teacher was a joke, but whatever, it’s over now and I got an A, three classes down, three A’s, I’ll take it!!
This Thursday, oh shit that’s today, 8/25/11, I start a new class titled – Organizational Leadership.  Time will tell how this one goes, new teacher and I think new materials that I have not covered in my previous studies, so looking forward to it, for now!!

Oh yeah can’t forget hockey started this week, fall league that is.  I’m on a team with ‘older’ ladies, but it’ll be fun, I played with a lot of them a couple of years back.  I am the only B1 player with all A2 players, but Jeanna will challenge this ‘definition’, hehe……right baby?  I can’t say it enough, I LOVE hockey, like LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!  It was really exciting getting to get back on the ice and actually touch the puck with a stick, not just pick it up for a face off or after someone scored!!

As you’ll see on the right of this blog is a new ‘badge’, the  MN Blogger Conference, I’M ATTENDING, badge!!  Yup that’s right…….I’m going to the MN Blogger Conference.  Yesterday I sat like a kid waiting to open their Christmas presents waiting for noon to roll around so I could click on the register tab to get signed up.  Now I KNOW I do not blog about anything specific, I don’t focus no one specific area, like technology, travel, sports, etc………..I would get bored, I blog about what interests me at the time……..so I am going to this conference, which is free (bonus!!) to just learn more, learn more about WordPress, how to use it etc.  I am super excited, perhaps my two readers will get some sweet new enhancements to my blog after I attend?

Our trip to South Africa is still very much in the works, I check ticket prices daily, I am openly optimistic they’ll drop a little more, but if not by the end of the month I’ll likely book at the price they’re at now.  I cannot wait!! I miss my family so much and I am so excited for Jeanna to meet everyone and to show her where I grew up, how I lived, what I did, etc.

Talking of Jeanna……well my amazing girlfriend has been a rock solid performer at work, as usual, receiving the department supervisor of the month award for both June and July!!!  During a recent walk with all the ‘big shots’ of the company, she was told by one of the ‘big shots’ that she ‘blew his mind’ with what she had done and achieved since her recent appointment to front end supervisor and how  far the department had come in a very short period of time!!!  She makes me so proud!!!
And while I go off on my adventures at ice arena’s, classrooms, homework rooms, etc. she is there for me 24-7-365….. I could NEVER ask for more, she’s one of a kind and I cannot repeat enough how luck I am to have her in my life.  I love you baby!!!
Talking of 365……it’s almost a year since we started dating, how far we’ve come in one short year!!

We’ve had a few adventures between hockey, school, etc.  We made our way to the MN Zoo on 8/19/11, check out the photo-blog I posted.  Little Canada Days with the Peltons on 7/31/11, and of course who can forget been able to see little Elliot Ehron Pelton just hours after she made her way into the world on 8/6/11.  It really has been a couple of action packed months as of late!!!  A couple of pics are attached below.

I think this is a pretty thorough recap of the ‘goings on’ in our lives…….feel free to comment, disagree (but remember I have the ability to edit your comments, haha!) voice an opinion, etc.  Again this is me thinking there really are people out there who read this, LMAO!!!
