March 24th…..the jourey begins….

Well here I am…..sitting at the airport waiting on a delayed flight. Praying it will for real take off at 439pm as currently scheduled instead of the original time of 320pm….and even more praying I still make my 930pm flight to Iceland. If I do not make the flight from boston to Iceland I will end up spending another night in boston….meaning I’ll be out another roughly $150 on a hotel room!!!
BUT…..I’m going to be openly optimistic that the pilot is speedy….that he flies like I drive, that’d be sweet.  Then I’d have enough time to get to other flight and all would be perfect…..just accompanied by a little stress!
Thus far today everything was perfect…..running smoothly and according to ‘plan’ …got up and got to Chiroway, T-Mobile and home all before 10am!!!
Finished packing hand luggage, took hair off legs (slight mishap with this as Tanner brushed up against the veet….but Jeanna and I got it washed off fast LOL!) , showered and went to eat lunch at Chipotle. The food was good and considering I heard today a main food in Iceland is shark or something like that I enjoyed my last american lunch for 10 days a little extra!!!
Then we headed to airport, I wanted to get rid of my bags…aka check them in….as I was worried they’d be overweight….well one of them!! So we did that and it went great. The delta employee was unusually friendly…..a trait NOT many delta employees possess!! Then we went and had a drink and waited till it’d be time for me to go thru security.  Just as we were gonna get ready to go I got a phone update about the flight delay :'(
So I started….in true Debbie fashion…. a mini freak out. I went online on my phone and looked at other flight possibilities, none of which would work.  Spoke to ticketing and they said the same thing….so my only other option was to go thru security and pray….which I did and continue to do!!!
Called Iceland air and asked what my options were and there isn’t much anyone can do!!

So….that’s my update thus far! Wish it was different but still plenty has gone right so I’m hoping it’ll stay that way!!!
