Debbie here, referred to as “Africa” by some. I am a 30 something year old who was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. I came to MN in August 1999, at the age of barely 19, to go to college and most importantly to play college hockey. I graduated from the College of St Catherine in May 2003.
Since college I have worked in the accounting profession and have since received my CPA, CMA and CMGA designations. I also recently wrapped up my MBA degree.
I still love the game of hockey, both playing and officiating. I have been playing for over half of my life and this upcoming 2012-2013 season is my 14th year of officiating.
I currently live in the Twin Cities of St Paul and Minneapolis, with my amazing partner (see Jeanna page) and two cute, yet sometimes naughty, min pin puppies (see Tanner and Logan page).
