    When I had my daughter, I ended up having to have a C-section. I was very nervous about it, but the nurse, Wanda, was very patient and kind and really made a difference in how things went.

    I would be honored to nominate my favorite nurse Karen, who was my nurse when I had surgery in 1st grade. She gave me stickers everytime I got out of my hospital bed and walked down the hallway. I created a sticker book out of all my stickers she gave me!

    I would nominate my soon-to-be mother in law. She is a nurse, and has worked so hard, for her entire family. She treats her patients like family too.

    I’m due in less then a week, and even though she isn’t my direct nurse, she has been there for me whenever I needed her!

    I think our school nurse should be nominated. Although I wonder how people are actually chosen. Do they have to work in a large city area to get enough votes? We’re a really small private special education school in a very rural areal. Not likely to get much voting done.

    There was a spectacular nurse who was kind, patient, and very helpful when I was in the hospital last year. She brought me warm blankets, made sure I always had water readily available, and helped me get out of bed.
