It seems in today’s day and age it is so easy to expose our children to harmful pollutants and nasty ingredients, in the air, in the food they eat, the products that are made for their skin, etc. Jeanna and I have worked hard to provide Gradie with only safe, nontoxic products, be it bath time, lotions or other related products. It seems to be one small thing we can actually control for Gradie; so we work really hard at it. That is why I was so excited to find out about the BabySpa line of products.
As the winter will soon be upon us again (unfortunately) it is the time of the year where we battle with Gradie’s skin as the constant heating required in Minnesota really takes a toll on her skin, drying it out and making life miserable. Sadly, it appears she has inherited her skin type from me, and knowing how much discomfort dry skin is I am even more driven to find products for her that will do what they claim they will in the safest way possible.
BabySpa’s products come in two stages, Stage 1 – for newborns through crawling and Stage 2 – for Walkers through Preschoolers. Each stage is aimed at the specific needs your little one will have at that time of their lives. Stage 1 is geared to your little one as they are mainly indoors, cuddled in your arms, or just starting to crawl around. These products feature patented Swiss moisturizers and soothing ethnobotanical blends designed to support and strengthen the natural balance of your baby’s sensitive skin.
Stage 2 is geared towards your little one as they venture out into the great big world, exploring and learning about the world around them. This time exposes their skin to more factors that are new to them such as heat, wind, snow, sun, etc. Therefore Baby Spa’s Stage 2 products are made with vitamin rich botanicals and all natural SPF boosters that provide nourishment and keep your child’s skin and hair hydrated.
We were blessed to receive the following BabySpa products (all in Stage 2 as Gradie is now very close to walking);
· 3 in 1 Tearless Shampoo, Body Wash & Moisturizer
· Moisturizing Body Lotion
· Bubble Bath Milk
· Soothing Face Cream
The 3 in 1 Tearless Shampoo, Body Wash & Moisturizer is great. I have to admit I have even used it and I had NO bad effects (most all products give me some sort of reaction). This product has so many great ALL NATURAL ingredients; ECOCERT® certified Nyamplung Oil, rosemary, organic aloe, chamomile and calendula to name a few and it has a wonderful citrus scent that I just love.
The Moisturizing Body Lotion is great because it is NOT greasy. I have used a few other lotions for Gradie and end up having to really wash my hands after as it is just so greasy I can’t seem to get it off, but that hasn’t happened with this Baby Spa lotion, and it seems to absorb into her skin so much better. As with the 3 in 1 product, the lotion is packed full of amazing all natural ingredients that leave Gradie’s skin feeling and looking smooth, almost silky. 🙂
Using the bubble bath milk was so much fun. Gradie’s first time having a bubble bath and she thought it was wonderful. What she didn’t know what that she was being pampered with the nourishing Evening Primrose, Olive and Sweet Almond all of which I believe helped her calm down from a fun day and get ready for bed.
I didn’t know that there were face creams for babies, turns out I was wrong. The BabySpa face cream has worked great on Gradie’s little face. I was worried about it being too oily or causing a break out, but nothing like that has happened. Just the opposite in fact, her skin is looking great with no adverse effects. Of course it is packed full of the fantastic ingredients like in the other products I’ve discussed, so I would expect the same great results.
