3 pounds of California grown dried fruits and nuts. The first 24 oz tray is packed with sun dried apricots, white nectarines, pears, peaches and moyer plums. The second 24 oz tray is filled with roasted lightly salted almonds and pistachios.

When I think of dried fruit I think of the dancing raisins or the little red boxes I got in my lunch box as a kid.  Imagine my surprise when I got a beautiful box of sun dried fruit that looked like this:

You might be thinking the same thing as I did when I first opened the box… for dried fruits they look fantastic!! They are not all dark and shrivelly (I am positive that is a real word!!) you can actually tell what fruit each is!!

I know this is odd to say but I was really excited to try these sun dried fruits.  Jeanna and I have been trying so hard to eat healthier these last few months and we love fruit but it is so darn expensive when you live in such a cold state like Minnesota… it is never season for anything!!

Starting with the dried peaches (they are my favorite fruit)… oh yeah… it’s peaches!!!  They are so delicious!  They actually taste like peaches, not sugar and extra sweet peaches… REAL PEACHES!!

The entire tray was fantastic, but without prejudice I have to say the peaches and plums have to be the best!   All the fruit was chewy, sweet and best part not mushy like some dried fruits can get.

On to the NUTS…. This tray was packed full of lightly salted almonds and pistachios and I don’t mean like the ones in a jar!  These nuts were GIANT, I don’t know when I ever saw an almond this big!! HAHA California grown and crispy and crunchy just like almonds should be.  And the pistachios… well come on… they are pistachios you either love em or you hate them…I LOVE THEM!! Again, so fresh and so delicious!
